Max is a one year old labrador retriever who was adopted by Tessa last spring! You might remember him as a puppy from our previous session together. Well now Max is all grown up and as handsome as a lab can be! Tessa wanted some fun photos to put on her Christmas card this year. Little did she know how many hilarious bloopers we would end up with! However, she embraced them and actually used some of the silly ones on her card as well.
We let Max explore a little bit before we started taking photos. He was doing so well... listening, posing, being good. Then all of a sudden he decided that wearing a hat was overrated. Tessa had to play some tug of war with Max over the santa hat. It was so funny I could barely hold my camera steady! He finally gave in and wore the hat for a couple of minutes. I worked quickly! Tessa also brought a doggie coat for Max. He looked very distinguished!
Pet photography is always exciting! I love being able to document families of all shapes, sizes and species! I like to think that family is not defined by only blood, but by love. Sometimes our family is appointed to us and sometimes we get to choose it. Tessa chose to add this cute fur baby to her family and they are just the perfect pair!
These photos were taken on a beautiful property just outside of Toledo in Whitehouse, Ohio. We were hoping for a snowy scene, but all we got were gray skies. I like to think that the pine trees still helped to convey the season. I truly enjoyed working with Tessa and Max again! I hope you enjoy their adorable collection of photos!
