When two people are in love, it is hard to hide. They get a glow, a giggle, an invisible magnetic field that links them and draws them ever closer together.
Grace, a Toledo native, met Gelmar in Tampa when she relocated there in 2014. They started dating at the end of 2015 and Gelmar popped the question in September! Gelmar's proposal was sweet and romantic and involved several locations, lots of candles and some live music by Gelmar himself!
Grace happens to be one of my cousins, by marriage. I was so happy when they chose to have me as their wedding photographer! The wedding day will be taking place in Tampa Bay, Florida. So you might be wondering why the photos you are seeing here look grey and chilly... with a distinct lack of palm trees. Well Grace and Gelmar happened to visit family over the holidays here in blustery Ohio. We decided it was a perfect opportunity to squeeze in some engagement photos!
These two were all smiles as we started their engagement session at Wildwood Metropark in Toledo. We picked a perfect day to show off the interesting Toledo weather. We had some snow on the ground, it was raining and very overcast. Such a contrast to their usual sunny Florida! But Ohio is where Grace was born and raised and it was nice to see the two of them experiencing Toledo together.
Despite the poor weather, we had a ton of fun running around the park, dodging puddles and taking photos! Grace is clearly a picture of natural beauty and Gelmar is a fun and goofy guy with a great accent! Gelmar was up for anything and pulled Grace along on every adventure. I think these two will complement each other well and have many great experiences in their relationship!
