Meents Family. Toledo, Ohio. Family Photography.
As some of you know, every spring I donate my services to a non-profit organization called Water for Ishmael. As per their mission statement, "Water for Ishmael’s mission is to partner with the local church to build a welcoming community for Toledo area internationals, to share the hope and love of Jesus Christ, and to empower internationals with skills to become successful". I document the organization's annual fundraising event. This year I also submitted a session as part of their silent auction.
Jay and Cassandra were attending the fundraiser and placed the winning bid on my photo session! Jay introduced himself to me and explained they were hoping to have family photos done in the fall as it is such a nice time of year. Jay and Cassandra have three young daughters and were looking forward to updating their family portraits!
We scheduled their session for a perfect October day! Of course we did not know the weather would be so amazing when we put the session on the books...Ohio weather is somewhat unpredictable, but we got lucky. The weather was comfortable without a coat and the golden autumn light was at its best! Jay recommended Side Cut Park which has a nice variety of riverscapes and wooded areas.
The Meents girls were so well behaved! They also were fun and excited to explore! I just loved how this family interacted with each other! The silly faces might be some of my favorite photos from their session. I am so happy that we could both support an organization we love and create something wonderful in the process!
Be sure to pin and share your favorite images from this session and enjoy some major family cuteness!
