Shannon and Adam. Cleveland Wedding. Windows on the River.

Second shooting with RKB Photography is always an adventure. Last year we made a trip out to Cleveland for a downtown wedding. I met Ryan at his studio in Sandusky, Ohio. From there we drove together to our first location at the Westin Hotel. The Westin was absolutely stunning. It had many beautiful spaces to take getting ready photos and to stage the first look.

As the girls got ready, Ryan spent his time focusing on the bride leaving me to get details and more candid shots. Being a second shooter, allows me to experience the day from a different perspective. I can be more creative and play with new ideas. Later, I get to use those tested ideas on my own clients. From the shoji in the room to the mirrors in the hall, the Westin gave me much to experiment with.

Formal photos happened down by the lake and near the event location. Because Shannon and Adam had a first look, Ryan and I were able to take our time and give them a wonderful selection of portraits. The ceremony and reception took place at the Windows on the River. The look of this venue is truly spectacular. As an artist, I really enjoy shooting there.

The ceremony was cute and sentimental. There was then a cocktail hour during which the couple enjoyed spending time with their guests on the patio. After dinner, we documented the toasts. We congratulated the couple, said our goodbyes, and started the trip home. Shannon and Adam were so kind and sweet. It was really a joy to capture their day.
