Part 1: Jack's Pooch Plunge at Plummer Pool. Dog Photography in Sylvania, Ohio.

We have been on the lookout for a dog pool party to document. Not only is it a wonderful opportunity to practice some action photography skills, but witnessing dogs having the time of their lives is kind of intoxicating. We also love getting involved with Toledo area pet owners. When we noticed Glass City Dog Park share their event on social media, we reached out to see if they would like us to come take photos of the Jack’s Pooch Plunge. This fundraising pool party takes place annually at Plummer Pool. They happily accepted our offer and made us feel welcome.

The pool, nestled in Sylvania, Ohio closes to the public after Labor Day weekend. The next Sunday, they open their doors one more time to allow dozens of dogs a chance to swim. Pups of various sizes are assigned a time slot and all the proceeds go to benefit the Glass City Dog Park. The attendance count this year was close to two hundred dogs. We had a blast photographing all the fun and enjoying the pure happiness of the dogs who got to swim and play and socialize.

This post is just Part 1 of the photos and mostly covers the small dog time slot. Part 2 and Part 3 will be coming soon. The photos we shared here are only web-size quality but all the photos will be in our special events online shop where you are welcome to order prints or high resolution digital files. Bonus, you get to support a small business.
