Rachel and Forrest were a dream to work with. They were fun and relaxed. They were cute and VERY into each other. It is so refreshing to see people who are so passionate about their relationship. We started the session by exploring the Toledo Botanical Gardens together. The gardens have so many unique spots, they provided some beautiful variety! Next, we went to the cute main street area of Downtown Sylvania for a slightly more urban look. I am so happy with how this session turned out. Congratulations Rachel and Forrest!

How They Met (Per Rachel): "Forrest and I actually met through a mutual friend. It is kind of a funny story. I remember joking with our friend saying, “hey do you have any attractive single friends” and he said, “why yes I do” and mentioned Forrest’s name. At first I played it off as no big deal but I couldn’t get it out of my mind and decided I had to meet Forrest. Our friend invited me To a gathering at Forrest’s apartment and we connected immediately. I seriously thought he was the coolest person I had ever met. I have toured the country and played in front of many fans and I was so nervous around him at first. Haha... Forrest seemed so calm and collected on the first night we met but he actually felt the same way. It’s amazing  to look back and laugh  at those memories with Forrest."

The Proposal (Per Rachel): "Forrest proposed to me and it honestly was a surprise. At the time right before the engagement I was trying to work through a stressful job and had come home to see him because he had called and said he made dinner. As I walked in  I noticed dinner on the table and a bottle of champagne. I happened to be very stressed from my day at work. Forrest had asked how I was. I explained that I wasn’t feeling the best. Forrest than asked me to come here. I walked toward him and then Forrest clicked his phone on the table and started playing our song. He asked me to dance with him. I started dancing with him and didn’t think anything was up  because we do goofy stuff like that some times. I  then noticed his hand was hidden behind his back. In my mind I figured he had chocolate in his hand to make me feel better. He usually would give me food gifts to cheer me up. However, Forrest started talking to me about what I meant to him and got down on one knee. At that point I knew it wasn’t chocolate. He pulled out a paper rose with a ring attached and asked the famous question.  I said yes and was laughing and crying at the same time. I will never forget that night! It seriously turned a very stressful day into the best day of my life."
