Include Your Dogs in Your Engagement Photography Session. Congratulations to Ben and Holly. Toledo Ohio Engagement Photographer.

You might remember Holly from a super fun, themed 30th birthday photo shoot we did together in 2018. Holly had seen a lot of my recent pet photography work and scheduled a photo session for her and her boyfriend’s dogs. The plan was to take a couple photos of the four of them together but to focus on the dogs specifically.

It turns out that Ben had decided to propose just a few days before our scheduled session. After a happily congratulating the couple, Holly asked me if we could extend the photo appointment and do some engagement photos. You are in love? You want to bring your dogs? You want me to do your photographs? Yes, please!

I chose a friend’s beautiful property in Whitehouse to host us for the engagement photos. The dogs would have less distractions from other dogs, unlike going to the park. These two pups were still very excited and active despite having gone to daycare. I am lucky to have a wonderful assistant who helps me to direct the dogs and get their attention. In the end, all four of my subjects did great for their engagement photography.

How did you meet? We met at our Bible study group.
What were your first impressions of each other? We thought each other were very cute.
How did your first date go? Wonderful! We had so much in common, much laughter, and a breath of fresh air.
Who proposed and how? Ben proposed at Wildwood Metropark.
Who designed your ring/where did you buy it? Ring by David Fairclaugh.
What things do you love to do together? Volleyball, workout, walks, play with the dogs, travel.
What are the names/ages/breed of your dogs? Zeke is a 10 month Australian Shepard and Maize is a four-year-old Golden doodle.
How would you describe their personalities? Fun loving and sweet.
What made you decide to include them in your engagement photos? They are a big part of our life and family.
What stood out to you about your experience working with Rebecca as your photographer? She was amazing to work with, had a keen eye for lighting and landscape opportunities, and photographs candid moments very well!
