Bailey cam to see me in the studio a few weeks ago. His owner, Sally, was very excited to document her special boy and have some amazing wall art created for their home. Sally picked a bright blue backdrop color and it was definitely a perfect choice! Bailey looked comfortable and handsome on the blue but I think his favorite part of the photo session was when he got to be with his family, getting all sorts of love. Keep reading to learn a little bit about this boy’s story and personality.
Get to know Bailey:
Where did you get him? I got Bailey when my mom's coworker had unplanned puppies. It's common for people in rural communities to let their dogs free roam, and they had not spayed their golden retriever yet. Bailey was one of ten puppies in the litter, and I chose him the day he was born!
How old was he when you brought him home? We brought Bailey home when he was just 7 weeks old!
How did you choose his name? I chose the name Bailey because it sounded nice with my other dog's name Toby! I like names that end in 'eee.'
How old is he now? Bailey is currently 9 years old, and his birthday is November 17th!
What 3 words would you use to describe his personality? I would describe Bailey's personality as goofy, gentle, and cuddly!
What is his favorite toy? Tennis balls are king!
What do you enjoy doing together? Going for walks in metroparks!
A favorite memory of him or a hard time that he helped you get through? My favorite memory of Bailey is doing canine obedience and agility through 4H when I was in high school! He was a puppy during the two years we did 4H, and the basic obedience he learned has created a solid foundation for being a well behaved adult! He also passed the AKC canine good citizen test during this time!
Why is it meaningful to have professional images of him? It is meaningful to have professional images of Bailey because he is part of our small family! I feel joy seeing how happy and handsome Bailey looks in his photos.
What stood out to you about your experience with Rebecca? I found Rebecca through instragram and saw how wonderful the photos of her other subjects were. During our session she was very patient with Bailey and made sure to capture a wide variety of shots. She made everyone feel comfortable and relaxed!
