Pete's IT Headshots. Toledo Ohio Photography Studio.
From Rebecca:
I hear many professionals say they will not work with family. This is often due to being undervalued or taken advantage of because of their connection. Witnessing how these situations can cause strain on the family relationship made me consider how I would handle working for my own relatives. I do my best to set straightforward business boundaries with family to ensure I don’t open the door for any miscommunication.
Pete, a cousin, went through the booking and scheduling process just like any of my clients. We created some wonderful headshots and expressed a mutual respect for each other’s industries. Pete explains why he believes professional headshots are necessary and more about what he does below.
From Pete:
Tell us about your personality, home life and hobbies. Fun, easy going. I enjoy hanging out at home with my wife and dog. I like to play video games, work out, hang out with friends and enjoy discovering breweries.
What do you do professionally? I work in IT. More specifically, I am an automated test engineer.
What education has lead you to where you are? Self-learning and opportunities to learn new skills on the job as new demands arise.
Why do you love what you do? It's an opportunity to give back to other team members in the company. Whether that is value from a test that developers can use to make an app better or it be giving time back to a business segment by automating a process that takes a lot of time to complete daily.
What is something about your profession that people may not know? Automation in general can have a bad rap when it comes to automating work. But my favorite part of it is to help business segments who are drowning in work that isn't fully their responsibility and detracts from normal work. It could've been after several different re-orgs that they have a task that shouldn't really be a responsibility of theirs and can be automated. And with that their employees gain time back to do what they initially interviewed to do /want to come in to work the next because "their heads are above water".
Why are professional headshots important to you? Professional headshots are important to me because I believe it is crucial to have a good looking representation of yourself. Whether that is in a suit and tie or everyday clothes. I think it is smart to have a professional's point of view and skills to help you best stand out.
What stood out to you about your experience with Rebecca? Rebecca was a lot of fun to work with. She was very professional and great with communication which made it easier to not be so tense or awkward for photos.
