I got to work with someone new for Allison and Ross’s wedding. I was second shooting for Mandy Osterfeld of Uptown Images. I make an effort to work with someone new at least once every season. This helps me learn new things and get to know new people. It keeps me on my toes and I get to see how other photographers create the experience they offer their clients.
Have I ever told you that the reception is my favorite part of the wedding day? The whole day is truly wonderful and rewarding. There is just something about the reception that makes me happy. I get to play with lighting. I get to document natural moments, not posed bodies. People finally relax after the stress and structure of making sure the rest of the day has gone the way it was planned. It is almost as if the bride and groom can breathe a sigh of relief when they sit down for dinner.
