We are so excited to be offering Lavender field sessions this year! Last summer was our first time at Luckey Road Lavender Farm. Kylee has such a beautiful field and she welcomed dogs with no hesitation. Speaking of dogs, this post features Reise, the Luckey Lavender resident dog. She stole our hearts and we loved getting to document her.
Let’s talk about the sessions we are offering this year. Sunday June 26th is the date. People and dogs are welcome. Bring your pup, your best friend, your significant other. Treat yourself to some extra special maternity photos or a non traditional headshot. All the details can be found in our Facebook event or you can send us a message to get the info!
Meet Riese:
Where did you get her? A pet store near my parents home. My sister made a power point presentation about how she needed the dachshund she saw in the window there before her 18th birthday. We went to pick it up and there were two pups in the crate, I couldn’t leave without Riese. :)
How old was she when you brought her home? Gosh, I can’t remember but she was a tiny puppy!
How did you choose her name? My 22 year old self was really in to Relax Riesling wine so we shortened it up to Riese.
How old is she now? 14. She will be 15 in August.
What 3 words would you use to describe her personality? Loyal, Sassy, and Extra
What is her favorite toy/activity? Laying in the sun and eating snacks
What do you enjoy doing together? Snuggling and “hiking” (which is actually me hiking while carrying her in a doggy backpack).
A favorite memory of her or a hard time that she helped you get through? She’s just always been the best companion. We can always count on her.
Why is it meaningful to have professional images of her? We want to keep her memory alive forever.
What stood out to you about your experience with Rebecca? Rebecca was just so great with Riese. She’s not one to warm up to strangers (or listen). So it was amazing to watch her get Riese to just follow along, behave, and pose so easily. The pictures turned out perfect!
